Formación presencial de las bases de datos EEBO y LION – 13 de Noviembre de 2019

El Área de Biblioteca, Archivo y Publicaciones de la Universidad de Cádiz les comunica la realización de un curso presencial sobre los recursos electrónicos EEBO (Early English Books Online) y LION (Literature Online), ambos de la empresa Proquest, suscritos por el Consorcio de Bibliotecas Universitarias Andaluzas (CBUA).

– EEBO contiene fondos de las obras escritas en lengua inglesa (Clive Hurst, Head of Rare Books & Printed Ephemera at Oxford University’s Bodleian Library) partiendo de la colección en microfilm que ofrecía 125.000 libros editados entre 1473 y 1700. La base de datos comprende monografías, publicaciones periódicas, carteles, manuscritos, etc.

– LiOn es un recurso con texto completo de obras de poesía, drama y prosa de escritores británicos y norteamericanos, revistas a texto completo y recursos de crítica y de referencias. Incluye poesía inglesa desde el siglo VIII, así como prosa desde el siglo XVI hasta XX y americana, afro-americana y canadiense desde 1603 hasta el presente. Ofrece también biografías, bibliografías, diccionarios y enciclopedias, con enlaces a textos completos de revistas de literatura.
