Support for end of year bachelors TFG and masters thesis TFM
The UCA Library offers a virtual course to help in the entire process related to the search and management of documentary information, preparation and presentation of the end of year bachelors and masters thesis (TFG / TFM): Learn how to search for bibliographic information necessary for the TFG / TFM, evaluate the information obtained, understand the structure of the documentation for the writing of the TFG / TFM and facilitate its presentation.
In this course you will find:
1. PLANNING TFG/TFM
Planning the TFG/TFM
Regulations of the UCA in relation to the TFG and TFM, as well as the Regulations and Guides by Centers for the Preparation of TFG / TFM.
Guidelines for choosing the topic. Brief indications of how to start the TFG / TFM.
Use of time planning and support tools.
2. SEARCHING AND EVALUATING INFORMATION
Research work: structure and types of thesis papers.
Where to find information: search strategies, selection of bibliographic resources of interest for each subject area. Evaluate the information. Recommendations to check the validity of the information retrieved.
3. ORGANIZING, CITING AND CREATING THE BIBLIOGRAPHY
Ethical use of information. Avoiding plagiarism.
How to quote. Selection of the most appropriate bibliographic format for the type of work, study area, etc.
How to create, maintain, organize and shape bibliographic references. Bibliographic reference managers: Mendeley.
4. PRESENTING YOUR TFG
Writing your TFG / TFM. Recommendations for writing. Modalities and structure of a TFG / TFM. The oral presentation of the TFG / TFM. Multimedia resources.
Relaxation exercises.
Disseminate and publish the work. The TFG / TFM in RODIN, UCA Repository
