User Card

Based on the Regulations of the Library of the University of Cádiz, in its article 18, the following are considered users of the Library of the UCA:


University of Cádiz Users

The members of the University Community of the UCA (students, teaching and research staff and administration and services staff) are users with full rights (Article 18.2 of the Library Regulations) and do not need a specific card to use the services of the Library It is enough with the physical university card or with the virtual card that includes the UCAapp and can be downloaded from the  Play Store y Apple Store.


How to get the UCA Smart University Card (TUI)


Authorized users

Authorized users are those people who are allowed to use any of the services of the UCA Library, by virtue of the agreements, concerts and agreements signed between the University of Cádiz and other Universities, Institutions or individually, provided that the need to use said services for teaching, learning or research purposes is accredited (Article 18.3 of the Library Regulations).

They will have a card issued by the Library, which will allow them access to the services to which they are entitled by virtue of said conventions and agreements.

In the case of conventions, concerts and agreements, the user card will be managed as specified in said agreement.

In the case of individual users, they must provide the endorsement of a Professor or Researcher of the UCA (PDI) with permanent links. The validity of the card will be, at most, for one year, counting from the date of issue, having to be renewed annually.

Graduates and retired Professors/Staff

Graduates and retired professors/personnel of the UCA will have the right, based on the provisions of article 18.5 of the UCA Library regulations and to the extent of the Library’s possibilities, to access to Libraries and library resources. UCA’s own information, as well as consultation and document loan services. The validity of the card will be for one year, counting from the date of issue, having to be renewed annually.

External Users – Modality A

At this time, due to the situation of capacity restrictions due to the pandemic, the Library does not issue cards of external users of mode A, whose cost is € 50, since the provision of the services to which it is payment commits can not be guaranteed.
