Technology has burst into the library environment in the last few years.
It is the variable key making possible and forcing organizational change
and the reinvention of the 21st Century library. Technological change
has become an instrument with which to design suitable responses to the
needs of our users and to manage our resources more efficiently. GEUIN
2005 is a meeting point to debate how to face the new challenges caused
by this change.
From 7th – 11th March 2005, at the University of Cadiz’s Jerez
Campus, a forum will take place providing opportunities for interaction
between Innovative Interfaces Inc., Millennium users, librarians and
information resources suppliers.
Product development strategies, new Web services, Institutional
Repositories of data and information, new standards (FRBR, SCORM, SRW,
etc.), how to establish the bridges to e-Learning applications
(WebCT, Blackboard etc.) or to other suppliers’ products and
applications make up a programme that we hope will be interesting for
you.
